Leave a Legacy

Consider including Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon in your estate plan. Your legacy could provide enduring support for the care and well-being of senior dogs in need, ensuring they receive love, comfort, and a chance for a dignified life in their golden years.

• Bequests are a meaningful way to support the work of SDRO and leave a lasting legacy.  You need to leave specific instructions, typically in a will or trust agreement. Charitable bequests are flexible and easy to update. Be sure to work closely with your attorney to properly draft your will or trust agreement.

• Gifting stocks and securities is another great way to support SDRO and receive a current tax benefit.  Be sure to discuss this with your CPA.

• Name SDRO as a beneficiary of your IRA.   This can be effective at your death or during your lifetime in the form of a “qualified charitable distribution” (QCD).    QCDs can even satisfy your required minimum distribution requirement.  Be sure to discuss this with your CPA.
